Hello Ive been checking out various threads and have realized that i have sooo much to learn its not even funny and add on top of that im a drummer.
I have been slowly adding older gear to my home recording project but thought it might be a good idea to get some tips on which direction to go with my little studio as far as what to add that will ehhance what i already have. Of course like alot of people im on a limited budget, but am willing to wait and work for good gear.
ADA Q series mixer 32 channel 8 bus
2-alesis xt 8 track recorders
D112
5-sm57
2-sm58
4-crappy mics
peavey 2-15 eq
fostex mr-8
Adobe audition 3
What i have so far i picked up rather cheap. The Mixer 250.00 (four non-working channels )and the adats 125.00 for both.
This is what i have to start out with and suites my needs for now.
I obviously need mics but im not sure if i should look at outboard gear or maybe better software?
Any input would be appreciated!
