Link,

Sounds pretty good. A couple of things need to change (set up).

I would go with heavier strings, than what came with it, I think they are extra light, feels like you're playing rubber bands.

I think the bridge needs to raise a little, action seems like it might buzz if you played it hard.

Other than the way it's set up, the craftsmanship is flawless, nothing vibrates that shouldn't.

The tuners seem very smooth.

Seems to be very quiet when plugged in, and it has single coil pickups.

It has the coolest metal flake finish, that you can't really appreciate in the picture, you would have to see it in person. The volume and tone knobs are chrome, with pearl inlade tops, too cool.

Other than set up, seems like a great guitar, and at $100.00, a very good deal.

GT...Pretty Cool ! When I was a kid they never had any inexpensive guits that nice! Oh Ah..Gidge ..Im you long lost son..Can I have a Les Paul..Pleeeease.LOL

Don

Don,

I have a beat up yamaha you can have.....

seriously i agree with you....20 years ago my first electric cost me over $225 (peavey T-15)....i just picked up a Yamaha Pacifica for $149 that smokes it and the Yamaha RGX 211 i paid $350 for 15 years ago.....these yunguns got it good.....

i just cant wait til my daughter says "Daddy this Gibson is too heavy..can we trade".....

I agree, it's amazing how much guitar you can get these days for $100.00.

I plugged it into my recording setup, and cranked the volume.

This is one of the quietest guitars that I have experienced (singnal to noise wise). Might make a good recording, who knows.

I would love to try heavier strings, and do a setup on it, but I have to remember, it's not my guitar.

When my daughter isn't playing it, I have this erge to grab it!

Yeah, in the good old days, $100.00 would get you a Tesco Del Ray, YIKES!!

GT

the one with that big-ass door handle tremolo thingy?....

Gidge,

Don't forget you plyers, cuz two of the tuner knobs broke off.

Get on your knees and pray,
it's a Tesco Del Ray.

GT,
Remember, heavier strings add more tension on the neck.

Hope she has a good time with it. An instrument is a great gift.
