Can I use a guitar multi-fx in a loop to and from my mixer? I want to apply a patch I made on my Boss ME-6 to a part I already recorded - can I pass it out from the PC through my desk and back in again, or will there be impedance mis-match issues?

Try it and see.... It may work, it may not. In theory it should work. Ah, I'm just talking in circles.

Actually, I think if you already have the soundcard latency issues fixed in your signal chain that shouldn't be an issue... But I don't know much about the fx pedal you are using... :o

A guy on Harmony Central reckons he's used it in an FX loop:

Rokket - the PC may well be fixed - see my other new thread. The guitar part in question is one recorded elsewhere and by someone else ... I just wanted to run it through my favourite reverb, chorus and mild compression patch because the part was just DI'd to begin with. Perhaps I could run it out and then into my amp and re-mic it?

If it was DI'd it would take a lot to fix it. There is a lack of "space" on a DI guitar, because you don't get the room in the equation, but it may fix it to re-amp it....

So has anyone got any impedance thoughts for me?
I don't think it will be a problem....

BTW, have you tried it yet?

No .. because .. see the other thread. Why does my life, I mean computer, suck so bad?
