Here is a lttle ditty I threw down lastnight...

...It's called "It's all a big lie"...Kinda Sex Pistols/Ramones type thing.Lyrics are kinda wordy at times and I'm working on revising them...this is a 1st mix so any comments would be much appreciated...now,if I could just get my real band to play this.... :rolleyes:

I sure dig teh Ramones/Pistols type vibe. Clean the vox up a bit...they sound pretty verby or something. Let them just be raw...it will fit this better. I think you sang pretty aggressively, so that should all fit.

Sounds fun man. Guitars, bass and drums all seem to fit pretty well together.

Thanks for the feedback Dog...I am pretty insecure about my vocals so I seem to overdue the reverb on my early mixes of songs,and then kinda ease it off as I get more used to the pukey sound of my voice :o .... will "dry em out" a bit on the next version.

Yeah don't be afraid of these vox, they sound good... aggressive and punky! dangerous :eek: :D
That solo and solo tone kill!
After the solo when you start singing again, I think it'd sound cool for the lead to come back and play along in crazy ways with the "It's all a big Lie!" chants.
Catchy song, I like the mix too ;)

This is one well written, boppin' tune - had me tappin' right from the first beat! Your guitar solo and tone continue to impress - always hot....

This is a catchy tune, "It's all a big lie" will no doubt run through my mind.... :D :D
 
snakedog - Thanks for the listen!Thats a good idea about having some crazy guitar during the last verse...I think I will try it after I lay down the new vocal track I wanna do.

ido1957 - Glad you like the tone/sound of the guitar...it's a variax into a pod.I tried for one of those catchy chorus's that get stuck in your head when you hear it :p !

Great song! I agree with the others who say the vocals sound great - they work very well for this sort of music. The lyrics do seem a bit wordy perhaps, but you said you were aware of that and reworking them. Otherwise, everything sounds excellent - good job!

Hey,thanks man!I appreciate the kind words....gonna try and do a new vocal tommorrow,and have also edited down the lyrics a bit...I think its gonna sound pretty cool when Im finished.Thanks for listening!
 
Yeah lots of controlled energy in the this song. It is very Ramone/Pistolish. The vox are great, suit the song down to the ground. Good stuff
 
Hey variaxman,

I love the guitar solo and the tone of all the guitars. The drums could do with a boost in the mids just to brighten them up.

I love when the vocals come back in after the lead break.......EXCELLENT WORK!

Your vocals sound great to me and I would love to hear them bought forward in the mix and dried out a touch. I am nervous and shy when it comes to vocals too, but you leave me for dead man!.......Your vocals suit this tune man.....I love it!

Sounds better man. Sounds like you could still bring the vox up a little in volume. I hear them pretty good now, and they sound a lot cleaner, just a little back in the mix.
