Freedom Hater
Greetings,

so i finally posted some of my own tunes over at the mypsace.

these aren't polished mixes or anything, (i mainly still need to edit drum fades) but they're the basic idea that i'm going for.

any input would be much appreciated.

thanks.

Pretty crazy stuff, but I like it. I like the tension between whatever those chaotic sounds (is some of it scratching?) are that start of the first song and the rest of that song. I'm not sure if the sax is real or not, but it sounds a little fake either way so you might want to work on the sax sound.

Yeah, a wild and strange ride here
Some good ambiance of sound running around in the stereo field here and there.
The sax sounds nice. The underwater bubble synths kinda pop up covering a lot in the mix. It's kind of a cool effect though. Then the sax leaps up and takes over the tune 1/3rd of the way through and sustains a nice a groove. Gets pretty funky.
Maybe a bit too much high end on the sax there compared to the backing track. Turned out to be a pretty fun tune, dig it :D

Very much liked your sound.
Nice fat Bass, killer Sax solo.Maybe, ever so slight Bass compression for tighter bottom.
I had a thought about Hot patriot ...that might be nice when you do the final drums.About 6:30 to 7:00 have the drums accent the instruments during the bridge.
Great stuff!

hey guys, thanks a lot for checking out the tunes, i appreciate the feedback.

"(is some of it scratching?)"
that scratching sound is actually the bass groove from the main section of the tune that i, um, did stuff to. ha ha.
took out all the lows and put a couple different effects on it. a "scratchy" type sound is what i was going for, so that seems to have worked out...:D

the sax is definitely real, ha ha. i haven't really done anything to it at all as far as processing goes.... (accept for the wackiness towards the end of the second track)
so maybe taking out some hi's would help the sound a little bit? any other ideas? i don't really have any idea what else i could do to improve the sound.

"The underwater bubble synths kinda pop up covering a lot in the mix."
hmmm, i'm wondering which part your referring to here? there were some parts that synth stuff was supposed to dominate, but i wouldn't want it to cover up everything else, or anything....

thanks again for the input.
