Hercules Game Theatre XP Vs. AudioPhile 2496

What is everyones opnion on the Hercules Game Theatre XP?

I will most likely return this thing because the recording for vocals and from Turntables is shit. Unless there is a way to fix the buzzing. I'm gonna get a pre-amp soon, but will the buzzing still occur with the XP? I'm looking toward the Audiophile 2496 because it still offers great sound and the recording is great for its price.

K, now my question. What is a good price for the card? I live in Canada, so i'm willing to purchase from online stores from the States. Just need a basic idea. I live in BC, so if anyone is selling! Leave me a message.


PS - Thanks to everyone who responded to the other posts. Your input has helped me a lot.
 
I got the 2496 for 180 (US) that was about four months ago. I haven't had any troubles with it and the sound IMO is great.

The Hercules card appears to be a gaming card. I would'nt use it for recording audio.
The Audiophile is a great card for recording at 24bit.
Musicians friend has it for 159.00
I got one at Guitar center here in the states for 149.00
Dont know if their in Cananda, and they dont sell online as of yet
