i need some majore help.i am a very good mc but my heart is pulling towards producing.ther is no one in my area to give me the nuts and bolts of what i need to make a home studio.i know the basics but what equipment do i need.i know i would like to use the sonar from cakewalk but can any one tell me what else i need to make some hot smokeing beats ?????? and how to get a good recording my budget is around 4000
 
WOW, that is a very broad question. :rolleyes:

I would suggest that you take a trip to your local music store so that you can play around with the multitudes of equipment AND tosearch around this BBS..

computer

an MPC (optional) :D

a soundcard

software

cables/adapters
