i just cant figure out how to insert audio from cds.

Still Learning.......
Rip the adio from the cd using a suitable programme (I use NERO, but I think Windows Media Player can do it) and save it as a wave. Then in Cubase go to File>insert>wave and there you have it.

You can do it directly in SX.
File- Import- Audio CD-Select the song- Grab- Ok.
