I have been in the hip hop sections and I've gotten no respons to my question.

Ok, I have been an avid reader of almost all recording magaize on the market for the last two years. I have gone, looked, and searched for almost all info for home recording on the PC. And I am still lost. It seems everytime I get somewhere I get knocked back down. There is so much info my brain is scrambled. Everybody has something good to say about a certin product and at the same time everyone has something bad to say about the same product.

I do know this, I want to record some hip hop music. Can anyone please give me a good package to do so. My budget is $5,000 please don't hold back, give me the best you have. And please don't recomend any rookie products, If I'm going to spend the money I want the best there is.

I hear ya! Tons of gear, piles of advertising.
I'm not a fan of hip-hop, but I don't think that matters.
Give us an idea of what you want to be able to do, and what equipment and/or instruments, if any you already have; computer, mixer, mics, etc..

My $0.02..........................

Get an Akai MPC 4000 ($2,300.00)

Get a Yamaha Motif ($1,800.00)

Get some Events PS8's ($600.00)

Add tax, and you'll be-broke-like-a-mofo. :D

You'll still need something for the recording of your creations, mics, and headphones.

Peace...
