When recoding, cubase seems to just stop recoding randomly...and never pick back up. The bar continues to grow and I can hear the entire song over the computer speakers but when it is done and the image updates to waveform you can see that the wave itself had stopped somewhere in the middle of the song. I can never complete a song!!!

Are you working with the latest drivers from your hard- and software suppliers? Perhaps that could solve the problem.

I never encountered this problem, however working with the latest drivers can keep you out a lot of trouble.

Try un-installing CuBase and then re-install it. Do you have plenty of RAM? Make sure nothing (i.e. virus scan) is running in the background.

Sound like you are having the same problem that skippy had a fews weeks ago. Read about it in this thread.

What version of Cubase are you using? I'm guessing it's earlier than version 5 R4. Go to ftp.steinberg.net and download version 5 R6 and install it.

You do have your left and right locaters adequate for the length of the song?
