What is a TRS input,I thought this could be used for Mics but now Iam thinking differently now that I have read into some things. If its not Iam screwed.

I'm sure one of these guys will come along and post the link to that web site that tells you everything, I just forget which site it is.

TRS means Tip Ring Sleeve and the TRS input is for line level signal usually a balanced +4db.

If your mic is condenser and you don't have preamps then you need XLR 3-pin type input with phantom power.

If it is a dynamic mic then read your manual and see if the input is switchable to unbalance -10db input. If that is the case then just go to RadioShack and get an XLR female to 1/4 male adapter and your ready to record.

reel buzzer is correct, it's got three separate contacts off the plug, separated by insulating bands. They are labeled tip, ring and sleeve from the end inward. They are used for balanced connections or for single-plug stereo applications, like the TRS jack and plug used with Walkman headphones or consumer soundcard line in and line out ports...
