Help with WAV import

I have a Tascam 2488MKII
I have a CD my band made 4 me I need 2 import the CD into the tascam so i can add vox
The manual says I can only import mono WAV from top-level directory of a data disk with no other files on the disk
so I converted the songs to mono WAV burned a new CD and it still wont work. I even tryed one song on a CD, didn't work. Please help!

Did you burn it as a normal music cd or a data cd? Did you convert to wav then just a cd? or convert to wav and burn a data cd? What did you use to burn?

Doesnt that recorder have USB? Have u tried importing/exporting via that?
