Help with recording vocals

Hi all...I am having trouble getting sound on my track using my microphone. I am using a Studio Projects B1 mic running through a M-Audio DMP3 preamp into my sound card line in...I'm having trouble figuring out how to set it up in Adobe Audition now...I used to always record through my pc mic and the record button always went straight to that. Any help on settings would be greatly appreciated. I'm not fiding the anwser in my software helpfiles...Thanks

click where the arrow points and make sure you have your correct inputs selected....
