hi...
recently picked up the delta omni i/o and i'm having mucho trouble getting it into my computer. I physically have the card in but i can't get the computer itself to find/load the card.

I'm running XP. I've downloaded the new driver from maudio and it's (the icon) sitting on my desktop...i can't get it to go any further tough; it only goes through an 'extraction' process that is beyond me. i've futzed around with the given driver disc and with the new driver. oddly enough the control panal recognizes the detla 66 but when i go to try and listen to music it can't find a sound card. have yet to load in any of the software given.

can anyone give me detailed, step-by-step instruction list on how to get this card to work.

btw, midiman hasn't returned my emails and the driver section of their site has zero instructions on how-to. bummer.

thanks
jason

control panel
install new hardware
go through that setup, when it asks for a folder - pick the folder where you extracted the driver files.
then it should be alright.

not enough info

shackrock...et al
thank you for replying (shack) but it's just too vague. the xp version i have will not let me load in the driver from my desktop. i 'm very bad with the internals of a computer and do know the diffenrence between directories or files or documents...or whatever. i built this computer because i want to learn this stuff and all the other hardware loaded in whitout a hitch. i figured this stuff was somewhat easy but i guess i'm in over my head with soudcards and downloading drivers.

i need step-by-step retard instructions. i did what you said in your reply well over 20 times with no results. i have no clue where my driver has been 'extracted' to and all i know is that the new driver icon (with a person in a running positiong(??))is sitting on my desktop not doing a single thing and there are several delta icons on my C drive.

do i have to make a copy on a floppy or a cdr or do i put it on the harddrive????? this is rediculous that its this difficult--midiman should be ashamed.

thanks
jason
