OK everyone, I've tried through various forums to figure this out but I can't seem to get everything correct. I'm just going to list my current setup and see if anyone can verify with me that it's the most practical setup for my system.

Behringer EURODESK MX2442A
DELL PC hosting Cool Edit Pro 2, Sound Forge 7a, Cubase SX, and Reason 2.5
Sound Blaster Audigy eX Sound card
Roland VP9000 Sampler
Gemini SP-1 Circle Surround Processor
Alesis Monitor One Mk2 Unpowered Monitors
Alesis RS150 Reference Power Amp
Kurzweil SP76 Stage Piano/Midi Controller
Audio Technice condensor mic
Shure KSM 32 Condensor Mic

The problem I'm encountering is that I know how to connect everything but I want to use the CD Burner on the PC that is hosting my audio applications. So far, this is what I've got:

Channel 1: Shure MIC, XLR
Channel 2: AT Mic, XLR
Channel 3: Kurzweil, 1/4" cable from "L Audio Out" on piano to "Line In (Bal or Unbal)" on board
Channel 4: I would like to connect the sampler to this channel but honestly, I have no idea how to use the sampler or how to connect it to the mixer successfully.
Channels 5-24: not currently used

Tape In: I have a L/R RCA cable coming from the Headphone out jack on the sound card via an adaptor

Phones/Monitors: 1/4" to Banana plugs going to amp, Banana plugs going to monitors from amp. Two sets of headphones connected as well.

MAIN SECTION: I have the "Left Main Out" connected to the "Line In 2/Mic 2" (i used this input because it is on the front of the PC) via an XLR to 1/4" cable.

NOW: A few more questions: How do I manage the volumes on all these devices? I have 4 different volume controls: The individual track slider, the main mix slider, the "Line In 2/Mic 2" volume control on the PC, and the volume of the Kurzweil. Right now these are all kind of in the middle, and no matter what I try, I still get random distortion here and there if I sing too loud orhit a note on the keyboard too hard.

Next, I can't seem to figure out the "Talkback Mic" on the mixer. All I can tell is that it just cuts the sound out as it's playing. I've tried putting on the headphones and seeing if I could hear anything while holding the "TALK" button, but there's nothing. It almost looks like there is a mic that should fit into the holes but my gut tells me it's supposed to stay like it is. The mic is a small circle, about a half an inch in diameter, with 7 small holes in it.

I also have no idea of a practical use of the surround processor. Any clues?

That's all for now - I'm sure I'll think of something else.

Thanks in advance to whoever can tackle these concerns!
