I've just recently moved into a new house and acquired an entire room to myself for recording! I'm going to attach pictures that should explain everything pretty well. I'm just seeking advice on how I should treat the room and any other suggestions. I don't have a budget per se because I don't even really know what I should be doing. If I knew, I could sure start saving.
The room is on the second floor of the house. It is the room directly over the garage. The window looks out to our street. I don't know much about walls, but I think they're pretty standard.
Seems I can't really determine an order for the pictures so I'll just refer to them by name.
"Studio Measurements"
This is the shot from above the room noting all of the measurements. The dash line is where the sloped ceiling ends and a flat portion begins. I have noted the approximate width of this flat portion.
"Studio Measurements 2"
This is my best attempt at measurements looking into the room. The 135 degree measurement is actually only approximate. One measurement that I have left off is the total height of the room up to the flat portion of the ceiling. That is 8' 6".
"Studio Decore"
This picture just shows where all the larger things are currently placed in the room. The desk is about 6" from the wall. I wanted to leave some room to be able to get back there if I needed to.
"1" & "2"
These are pretty self explanitory. I wanted to include these so everyone would have a good visual and mental representation of what I was dealing with. While my drawings aren't to scale, these should help put them in perspective a little more.
Thanks in advance!
