I am looking for some studio advice/tips. I am moving my studio fromy bedroom into a new room which is soundproofed (former police interview room) with double doors so the sound is pretty dead. There are some pics bellow. The rooms dimensions are

HEIGHT - 237M
WIDTH - 227M
LENGTH (DOOR-FRONT) - 323M.

I have a week or so before i will move in so wanted to get advice on
a) Where best i place my speakers (blue sky speakers media desk 2.1) and workstation?
b) What basic acoustic treatment can i add ? ..

i have various bits of kit and equipment and also need to add some storage units which will probably be shelfs of some kind. Is there any no no's i should know about?

Many thanks in advance

These short articles answer exactly the questions you asked:

How to set up a room
Acoustic Basics

Note that absorption used for voice frequencies is not adequate for music. So you'll need to beef up the existing wall padding with real bass traps.
