Hi, I was given a pair of rokit monitor speakers, one turns on ok and the other takes hours to turn on and it seems that it stopped all together. I don't even know where to take it to get fixed or if it's going to cost me a lot to fix. I been looking at a pair of m-audio ones for 100. Do they sound atleast close to good and loud as rokit? Can anybody give me their 2 cents on this, thank you in advance.

I like how the rokit sound and how they are individually powered. Should I buy a second one to replace the damaged one? Thanks again.

You need to start your own thread for this and not hijack someone else's thread. I started a new thread for you here.

You should take the defective monitor back to where you bought it. If you bought it used, then you are probably SOL. Caveat Emptor, etc...

What models of each are you referring to?

IMHO the Rokits are pretty good medium range monitors. I would get the one fixed, even if you need to ship it back to KRK. It may even be worth sending both of them in so they can give a once-over to the good one also. Just a thought.

If its the latest G3 rockets they have a auto cut off switch that may be not working correctly, as said above contact the supplier first then KRK directly if needed.
