First I'll explain my set up. I have a Berhinger MX3282A running into a Tascam US-122 which runs into my computer. I'm using KRK Rokit 5's as monitors. Now onto my question.

I want to use the "talkback" function on the mixer but in order to do so we need to run the headphones out of the headphone outs on the mixer. The problem is our set up is currently running the headphones out of the Tascam US-122. Would it be possible to run the line outs out of the Tascam back into a stereo channel on the mixer and then hook the monitors up to the monitor outs on the mixer? I think it would work but my only concern is that somehow running the final mix back into the mixer with other things being recorded would mess up what we were trying to record. If you have any advice please let me know.

Im just trying to get the mix to play through the headphones and be able to use the "talkback" function. Thanks.

Edit: I think if i send the line out from the Tascam back into a stereo channel in the mix, take it out of the main mix and assign it to a submaster and run the monitors off of a submaster it will work. Anyone know anything about this?
