Hey HR,
I'm wrapping up a song I'm doing with a friend of mines. I'm just looking for any tips/advice/tricks/or any input good or bad. I won't take it personally
. The track is being recorded and mixed on Reaper. Below I'll put a list of what I've done so far on the mixing. Thanks for any input.
Rap Vocals:
Noise Gate
Compression
Compression
EQ
Deesser
I have a slight hint of reverb
Singing Vocals:
Gate
Compression
Compression
Reverb
Deesser
EQ
I have 3 layers for the singer. I have the main going in the middle. The higher voice going 20% left and lower voice 20% to the right. At the end where the singer does all this other stuff I have him going 15% to the right.
