Hi,
I'm using Cubase SX 3.1.1 and I'm having problems with the timing of a midi track. I exported the midi track (drums) from guitar pro 5, into Cubase, but when I play it back, it is slightly out of time with the Cubase metronome... How could I fix this?

Any help would be appreciated...

Cheers,
Stan

I'm using SL3.0 and sometimes have a similar problem... I assume mine is more due to latency issues, but it seems to be about the same situation.

When you import the tracks into Cubase, select the track that you imported the midi information to and check out the track information at the far left of your screen. There are controls for volume and panning and then there should be another little slider under them that has a clock next to it (delay). When you are playing your other tracks (or your metronome), adjust the control with the clock next to it either forward or backwards to line it up properly with the timing of the metronome. It might take a little bit of time to get it figured out, but it will do the trick.

That's what I have to do every time I use more than 1 or 2 midi tracks on my system, but if anyone knows an easier way please do tell! :D

Hope that helps a bit...

I don't bother with the clock thing. Just use a free vst instrument and feed it with your midi. This way you're 100% sure it's at the right spot, and you don't waste your time adjusting the clock. This is a normal cubase issue.

Yeah, I couldn't do the clock thingo properly anyway. Thanks for the VST instruments advice... I've done that and it works fine. :D
