Help with Mic sound thru PC

I had used a BCD2000 for awhile to play with but it broke so i just got a Behringer 1204FX with a UCA200 USB adapter,

Basic problem is i cant get the mic to put out any sound on the pc

If i plug the 1204fx directly to a sound system input i get sound from the mic thru the speakers using the rca out jacks,

I have tried with the usb adapter and did a direct connect to the pc line input and the same both ways - nothing

If i plug a radio output into the computer thru the line in i get sound on the pc

Anyone have any clues what i could be doing wrong?
or any one need any more info that i have not supplied?
 
I came across that link also, and it helped but still nothing, i don't see how it could be broke but i could be wrong, the mic goes thru my sound system "using same outputs that would hook to the pc" and verified the pc input works using a cd player to the input.

Im stumped, it doesnt make sense, both work just not together :(
 
Update, found it was just a simple button on the system, cant get the usb to work but it will work when i plug it direct to the pc input

i'm not sure that there'd be a notable difference in quality one way or the other!
