Help with M-Audio

I have everything hooked up my shure mic to my interface m audio and my m audio hooked up to my computer with the usb! when i open acid pro to recoard i hit are and speak in the mic but the leaves dont pic up the green light comes on my interface but not the softerware programe i have (acid pro 7) i need help been trying to figure dis out for 2 days please hlpe if u know how! i hit arm and recoard but all i get is a stright red line i start rappin and it does not pick up my voice! what do i do!

I can't understand what you wrote here. Try using punctuation and good grammar so you can convey your thoughts better. People are willing to help if they can understand what you're asking.

Also, don't hijack another thread to post your problem, start a new one of your own. I'll move this to a new thread and put it in the appropriate forum.

im willing to bet its a routing problem
Have you made sure that acid is trying to pick the mic signal from the interface.
and Check your settings in the m audio software mixer?
