Help with LM4 drum channels?

I'm a somewhat intermediate user of Cubase - I'm using Cubase LE - with LM4 drum VST. I've set up a kit I like and I've used it for a lot of different songs and have always been pretty happy.

However, I'm starting to get a bit more advanced now and I want to have different effects on different drums - so compressor on the bass, reverb on the snare, etc. Now, when I load up LM4 in the VSTs, Cubase automatically creates 9 channels - but only one is ever used. Even if I create separate tracks in Cubase, it always plays all the sounds through the first channel, and the other 8 sit unused. Picture for example:

As you can see, I've set up a track for the kick and a track for the snare. But looking at the faders, the sound ONLY ever comes out of LM4II. St1. I've changed the channel for the snare off to the left to '2' but that doesn't fix it. I suppose, what I'm asking, is how do I get Cubase to send the snare to LM4II. St2? And if I can't, what are all those other faders for?

Any help is appreciated!

That is one of the limitations of Cubase Le. You cant split/send multiple outputs from a VST. :( You can in full versions, possibly in Elements, but I am not absolutely sure.

Damn, ok...alternatively, is there any way to remove those channels? I can just load up three copies of LM4 and do it separately. Those channels take up a lot of space!

Right click>select remove track? I'm just guessing here. I don't run LE anymore, and do not have a VST up on my current mix. If that don't work, let me know, and I will pull up LE5 on my lappy and see what we can do. :)

Thanks but I don't think it's anything to do with the tracks - even if I have an empty job, with the VST activated, those channels will be there anyway. I could have 4 or 5 different tracks using the LM4 and there would only ever be that amount of faders.

Well, all whatever aside, tracks do not take up your computer resources. If you had actual use of those instrument tracks, then I would be worried.

Even in Cubase LE5, I can create the tracks by 'dissolve part' Does no good, other than create the tracks. to send to. The fact remains that LE is not allowing you to send from a VST to those tracks. I see no worth in getting rid of them, unless they just don't look cool. Trust me, there is no way in Cubase LE 4,5 or 6, that will allow you to use the other tracks.

Woa wait wait wait Jimmy, that's LE version 1. Version 1 DOES allow multi output tracks for instruments, but limited you to only being able to load 2 VSTi per project.

It's been a really long time since I have used LM4 and LE version 1, but IIRC there was a way to do the routing inside the GUI of LM4.
