Hey everyone
Im new to the world of recording and have some questions. I have a Tascam US 122 A/M interface, an echo indigo sound card and an MXL v63m large diaphragm mic. Ive been trying to use cakewalk homestudio 2004 xl and it is NOT working. It only picks up the signal from my guitar and mic once in a while and when it does its scratchy and it pops. ive tried cakewalk support and they were no help. Im thinking about buying Sonar and returning the homestudio. This is really frustrating so any advice would be great. I also have some good speakers i've tried to use for monitering but i only get a scratchy sound. I've installed all the updated drivers for all my hardware. Thanks

What are the specs of your computer? OS, ram, processor, video card, etc. This info would be helpful in diagnosing your problem. I would recommend you check your hardware setup before trying different software. You might also check the Cakewalk Forum here - I have heard of others having similar issues as you.
I have used homestudio 2004 xl on two different machines with good results.
Good Luck!
