Help With Edirol UA-25!

Hi

I have an Edirol UA-25, and everytime I connect it to my computer, I get a really high pitched constant noise - it's quite unpleasant, and obviously gets picked up on microphones, making the unit quite unusable. Am a bit novice at this at the moment... Does anyone have any ideas? Would be very much appreciated

How are you connecting it to your computor? Are you using a USB cable for this connection?
