Fellow Music Lovers:
I've taken the first steps in recording my
Strat onto my hard drive thru a POD and
a Soundblaster Live sound card using Cakewalk's
Guitar Studio software. I've sucessfully recorded
and played tracks but my problem is I can't
hear the track to play over it. The software allows
for Muting, solo or record for each track but how
can I hear the track I'm trying to add to? What
I'd like to do is to record a rhythm track, a lead track,
a bass line track and maybe a percussion track. Could it
be that my Soundblaster is only a half-duplex card and in order to hear existing audio while recording additional
audio, you need a full duplex card?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
