Help with Bassdrum head

Hi
I have an 18" bass drum (I know :p )

I need a good beater and reso side

I'm looking for bass that sounds punchy like System of a down's John dolmayan.
Something that won't sound jazzy at all, and some sticky-ness to it.

Evans EMAD batter head. Use a wooden or plastic beater. The front head can be just a normal front head with a hole in it.
 
The EMAD sounds so god damn awesome. My only complaint is that the plastic thingy that holds to muffle rings cracked. They also pop out really easily if you play hard, like I do.
 
SOAD hav huge kicks. so might be hard to get. but yes like previous people Evans EMAD rocks. neva seen an 18" before...... check the site to make sure they exist before you maek a fool of your self asking for one. lol. normally kick heads are 20, 22, 24. so you moight be looking at floor toms heads........
 
18" EMAD head was what i meant.
and yes thank you; i have seen a 26" head, i owned one up until a year ago.
do 18" EMAD heads exist? i've never seen one and ive worked in 3 nusic shops (and im only 15)

have you ever seen a 16" kick drum or a 26x26 kick drum?
 
I had a Ludwig with 2 28 X 14 kicks (it looked cool then, a little silly now) with 7 toms and a 9 inch deep snare.

yes there are 18" bass kicks

oooooh big. but only 14? still must have made a huge sound.

systmovadown: what i was asking was do Evans make EMAD heads in 18"? not can you get 18" kicks.
 
14 inches was as deep as Ludwig made any kicks. The shallower shell helps the front head do its job better. The longer kicks are louder, but not as resonant.
John Bonhams 26 inch kick was only 14 inches deep.
 
wierd how drum 'fashion' has completly reversed, now toms are getting stupidly shallow and kicks are getting longer by the day...

i meant to say that yeah they do make em
emad heads.
