I'm just going to be doing some voice recordings, no music, a seminar on tape. I want it to sound as professional as possible. Should I be hanging blankets and things on the walls of the room to create proper acustics for recording? Thanks in advance!

If you record close to a good mike (pop shield required) in a typical room, (carpet floor, curtains on one wall etc) you should get an acceptable sound for your seminar. Just don't record it in the bathroom :)
cheers
