Hello all
I just received my ebay purchased RodeNT2 today and have a few questions
I was unpleasantly suprised to hear a ratteling sound coming out of it when handeled and decided to disassemble and investigate the noise before powering it up and potentialy causing damage
I found the center retaining screw for the omni/carodid and lo cut switch plate had come undone and simply reattached them (incedently if you need to do this at some time a drinking box straw jammed over the nut works wonderfully to hold it while you tighten the screw from the other side.)
every thing now seemed ready so I plugged her in and powerd up my mixer...
sounding good and then... the signal starts to cut in and out intermitantly
there is still a signal but much weaker then its back to normal. This can happen several times in a 30 sec period or work fine for several minutes.
Ive contactrd the fellow ive bought it from to see about a refund but im not sure how that shall pan out
I guess my question is how servicable are these condenser mics and what do you think a fellow would pay in diagnosis and repair (obviously you cant be accurate but if you have had a similar occurance Id appreciate your advice)
I paid 186 for the mic advertised in working order so depending on the out come of our negotiations id like to know the feasability of repairing vs just getting my money back
cheers and thanks
