Thanx Dave that's a better version.. :D ..Ok I know where to start the solo but just so I don't get carried away on the wings of Heaven,...where abouts do I stop??.......is it about 3:06?? :D

Yes, 3:05 when the hand claps come in, its a lil 8 measure solo. :cool:

I have just been soloing over the edit you have done for me Dave and the length of the solo section seems to me to be too short to complete the phrasing that song requires!!!............Us guitarists are more weird than you classical geeks!!

I will keep playing around with it but I would really like to have the vocals in place to allow me a lead in and a tail out!!........I'm jibbering about the feel!!

I am just going to have another listen and I may have a suggestion ( :o :o :o ) to make!!

It's not the ideal place for it. I cant really think of a better solution so I am all ears :) As it is, its a five minute song with the 8 measures I have added, thats pretty long for "pop gospel" or whatever the hell this thing is gonna turn out to be. :D

I can put it back to where it was, and we can wait until we have lead vocals before we extend it. Maybe when the vocals are in, there will be a more logical place to put a solo.

I think it will be a wise move to wait and see how the vocals pan out (pardon the pun). The tune lends itself to a nice feel for a solo but like you said it's over 5 mins with the solo added at the moment!!

I will dabble around with some bits and pieces and wait for the vocals!! :)
 
You need some bass for this? I got me a bass, ya know.... :D

Maybe. My vision of this right now is an 80s song with synth bass, I will see what happens when Cincy adds vox.

I put the tune back together for now, and added strings.

Hey all,

1st off I have the very original music David posted so it doesn't have all the cool changes and Dog/Gorty's parts either. I wont list a bunch of excuses before I post the track but I will say this is my least favorite vocal performance of mine thus far on the boards and hopefully David can work some Magic with the edit <wink>

Also, I wanted to put some harmonies in, some "oohs" and "ahhs", and other things but didn't have time and I know everyone was waiting on the basic lead vocals, so its just them alone.

I am mailing you the dry vocals David to your email address. This is just my version with a bit of verb on my vocals (maybe too much verb but David will fix all of that).

Have at it!

Really nice vocal cincy kid... intonation, vibrato that comes late on the long tones, intensity fitting the tune, everything really. You sound like you mean it.

Cincy, you sound like a million bucks. This is really starting to sound authentic, very cool.

There is no mixing on this yet, it will be heavily automated.
