hello all, i hope there are some users who are familiar with using reason with sonar with rewire.
I have sonar 2 and have recently gotten reason 2.
I like the patches from reason and want to use them for all my MIDI. However I have had problems doing this and decided to try this BBS after going through the manuals and respective websites.
Right now I am trying to use sonar to record a practice song using two tracks, both using reason. One track to use a patch from the N19 sampler and the other track to use a patch from redrum. After opening reason through rewire, i set the first MIDI track to:
In: Midi Omni
Out: 2-reason
Ch- 3 -NN19 1
Bnk- 0 -NN19 1
with an accompanying audio track set to
In: Reason Channel 3
Out: (to speakers)
I record this track using my keyboardand everything seems fine.
I set the second track to:
In: Midi Omni
Out: 2- reason
Ch- 4 -Redrum 1
Bnk- 0 -Redrum 1
with an accompanying audio track set to
In: reason channel 5
Out: (to speakers)
ok, when I play the first ten keys of my keyboard I hear the ten respective drum sounds from the patch. When I record, I also hear the drum sounds when I push down the respective keys. However, when I play back the track I only hear the first drum sound and nothing else.
I hope people will be able to understand my post, I have tried to explain exactly everything I did. Basically what I am trying to do is create a song in sonar with several MIDI tracks all using Reason. Thanks.
