Ok so I bought this audio interface and I installed the included Cubase LE 5 software. I read the manual and set up my vst conections (1 stereo bus for in and 1 for out). The ASIO driver is the tascam us 144mkii. Everything is supposed to be fine, but when I record something I cant play it back. I know its recording because waves show on the screen. The mon mix is all the way to the right (computer) and the phones are up too. I can hear other sounds coming from my pc through my headphones connected to the interface, but Im just unable to hear my recording. I read the manual and Im doing everything as it says. I´ve tried everything, I really dont understand what im doing wrong. Please help me or else i'll have to return the product to the seller

BTW: I am able to hear other sound sources (music, internet videos, etc) through the headphones output of my interface, so I guess the TASCAM is working properly

There is an icon on each channel that looks like a speaker. Try clicking on that. If that not it, we can dig further. :D

I've tried that :/ also disabling the recording button on the tracks

And what is it you are recording? If it is a mono source, like most are (vocal, guitar, bass, etc..), you should be using a mono input bus.

What is your stereo bus set to as output? By default, Cubase will automatically set output to 1/2 or L/R on an interface with only two outs. This should also be shown as selected in your 'Inspector' window on the left of the Project Window. Open your Mixer, and see if you are getting signal to the Main Output channel on the far right.

Attaching screenshots of your VST Connections (input and output), as well as the main Project window could be helpful. :D

I will post a screenshot as soon as I have acces to my project (currently im working with a diff computer). Thanks a lot for your help so far!

No problem man. Glad to help. I'm sure we'll get it figured. :D

May not be till morning tho.

Im also unable to hear the click track

Back to your output bus either being turned down at the mixer, or not being bus'd correctly. The click track is by default, assigned to your main output bus. I am going to bet your problem is there. Screenshots are going to get you through this man. And it gonna cost you some beers!!!

:drunk:

By the way, I just helped out a friend of mine who had the same issue. It always comes down to something simple. I am not sure there is any software available these days, that has an inherent inability to work. Especially Cubase IME. Just getting it set right is the key.

Try throwing up the screenshots first. I can help in my down time. If it doesn't get solved that way, we can do the Skype thing or somethin.

I can assure you, it will work. :D
