I Know this is probably a stupid question, but, Is it possible, using a computer with Cakewalk, and the Aardvark aark 24, to record 8 seperate inputs onto 8 seperate tracks simultaneously?? What I mean to say is, if I have the aark 24 plugged into the computer and 8 seperate mics plugged into the aark 24, is it possible to record all 8 inputs on 8 different tracks all at the same time, so as to be able to record a live situation, say 2 guitars in 2 of the 8 inputs and a mic from the kick, the snare and an 2 overheads into inputs 3-6, and 2 vocal mics in inputs 6-8, and record live, so each individual input goes down to its own track in cake walk?, so then you could go back later and individually mess with each different track/instrument? Or can you only record one at a time? I hope my question was clear, I need to know if I'm confused or just dreaming. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and preferably in laymens terms! thanks in advance, Dr. Jung

If your sound card have 8 separate inputs the answer is yes.
You must select a different input (source) for each track in cakewalk, then press record...
