Hi, I just purchased a Rode NT1 A mic, and unfortunately haven't gotten to using it as I can't seem to remove the 3/8" thread adaptor from the shock mount that came with it! The guy at the store told me to just 'pop it out' with a screwdriver, but I seem to just be ruining the threads and don't want to make it worse... Any tips??

Thanks, I really appreciate it!

it just won't thread out????

it should just unscrew like any bolt, unless I don't understand the problem... which is entirely possible- work has destroyed my brain today

did you try using a flat head screwdriver in the notches?

^^yep. A coin in combination with a pair of pliers or vice grips works for me.

Pliers

use, pliers, i had some audix drum clip threads stuck in my regular mic clips and a condenser mic shockmount, just use a pair of pliers it should do the trick
