help recording

Can someone please help me? I can't get any sound to come through my computer. Im trying to record my singing but nothing is coming through. Also, can someone tell me if they're is an easier way to get the sound of my voice to the soundcard? It's too hard to get under the desk to sing into the jack every time i want to record. Thanks

you first need to let everyone know step by step what you are doing, then we can tell you where you are going wrong.
