I
(Sorry: I am sure the question has already been asked but didn’t find any answer)

I want to know if it is possible to add a guitar fx 3.04 or guitar fx box distortion directly to my recording software ( which is for now acoustica mixcraft but I can change). I really like some presets that I have found on those programs.

I want to directly record the guitar with the distortion of another software but not the one i am recording with. Is it even possible ?

Is is possible with another recording softw. ?
Is is possible with another distortion softw. ?

I do it right now by recording on a second computer. I plug my guitar on computer 2 with a distortion software on it, and this computer goes to computer 1 with the recording software. It work but there is a 20 millisecond lag all the the time. I had to adjust it manually in rec. sft.

Thanks, sorry to be a noob.

Sounds like you need an amp sim plugin. WarpVST and Amplitube are a couple decent sounding ones.

Thanx very mutch.

If I hunderstant correctly, those are two distorsion program who will not conflict with my recording software. It is so?

They aren't exactly programs, they're plugins, which run within a host application - something like Cubase or Sonar.

Thanx man but you are telling me to get a new recording software. Cubase or sonar, and use the distorion plugins you told me. I know my mixtcraft is a reay basik recording device but I liked it. But if i need to change I will.

I don't know anything about Mixcraft, but if it can support either VST or DirectX plugins, it should work.
