i just got a sterling audio st 55 and i cant get it to record in protools i know there is a certain way you have to set up the track but i cant figure it out but i have the phantom power on and everything is hooked up right

the mic wont respond

sometimes phantom is phinicky...

You may wanna reboot, with you mic plugged in. then open pt and turn on phantom phantom power then. Also, make sure your mic is in the appropriate input. set your track input to whatever input you have your mic put in. you prolly want stereo 1-2 for your output. Make sure your track is set to audio when you create it.
i don't know what else could be the problem so hope this helps. if all else fails read the manual
