hey guys, im totally new to cool edit pro, and i dont know all the terms, so if a thread like this has been started please point it out, thanks.

I have 3 tracks (original track, instrumental track of the original one without voice and my own track) I need help syncing all 3 of them at the same time. Like i want the chorus of the original track but i want the original track to stop playing when it gets to the verse so only my own track and the instrumental is playing. I dont know if this makes sense but, LOL help me out, thanks !

You should move the bar to the spot in the original track and split it, then remove the other half, or just grab the the edge of the track and bring it up to that spot.. if THIS makes any sense, let me know, I can clarify

What!?!?!?!

Yeah I have no idea what your asking, Try rewording it. So you got the instrumental track, then your main verse, then the original track(whats the original track?)...you need to explain...In recording it usually goes, 1.instrumental, 2. main verse, 3.double track(main verse repeated), 4. ad libs (end words...like the rhyming words)...explain it with those terms and maybe we will understand what your asking

im sorry, ok what im asking is, I have 3 tracks right?
1. Original track ( it's the full song, it has all the words and i need this track to pull the parts i want from it ie: the chorus or something)
2. The instrumental version of the track (the purpose for this is so i can record my track but at the same time still have the background music playing).
3. My own track that i record

now my problem is that i dont know know how to keep all 3 synced, well the instrumental and my own recording is easy but i dont know how to insert parts from the original song to the recording i made. hope u understand.

If Im getting it right, by sync you mean you want all the tracks to be on point with each other right? And your lookin for the the best way to get them all on point???

ok ill just try to say what im trying to do. I want to edit a song so that when the verse comes its my own recording, not the original song. But what i want from the original track is the chorus and stuff.

so in one track its basically like this
Chorus: original artist
Verse: me
what is the best way to do that ? i have the instrumental version of the song and the original version of the song, but they arent completely pin point to eachother like u said.

This may be hard but, try cutting the chorus out and pasting it on the instrumental, it will take it a while to get it exactly on point but its worth a try, move it little by little until its on point
