Hello Out there..
If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it..
I have just bought a TASCAM DP-01FX/CD
and I have used it successfully a couple of times to record One track./ I still am very new to all this.
Today I turned it on and got:

Media error:0
Please power off

The "please power off" is blinking.
There is no reference to this in the manual. I have hit the exit button and and the enter buttons. The message never changes.. YIKES!
Any ideas? Thank you- thank you in advance from this Knuckle head! Jen

The "media error" indicates it can't read its media -- whatever it writes the data to when you record. Let's see - a quick google tells me it has an onboard hard drive. Sorry to say that message might mean your drive is corrupt. The device can't boot up and run properly. Not sure how you can troubleshoot this any further without swapping the drive out. Did you check Tascam's website or contact their tech support? If the unit is new it's bound to be under warranty.
