Help please!

Anyone know the best way to record a band on cool edit pro? Should i record the drums first? how could i do this and play the guitar so it doesnt bleed into the track? is it possible with cool edit? I have a m-audio usb interface that i will be using as the sound card as well. I like to go direct with the guitars and vocals...is that a good idea??! please help.....all answers appreciated thanks!

How many inputs do you have on your soundcard? How much space do you have in your studio? How many mics will you be using to mic the drums etc?

Cool Edit is capable of multitracking, so the answer isn't readily available to anyone who doesn't know what you have at your disposal.... Follow me?

we have 3 mics for the drums and i have about 4 inputs on the soundcard. we have a nice amount of space in the little room we practice in..what s the best set up you think
