There are a lot of Universties that have major studies in music theory.I saw Harvard, Michigan State, Yale, Northwestern, Texas-Austin, and Wisconsin to name a few.Just do a search for Music Theory.

look at engineering schools.

i go to osu and they have an ILL sound engineering 4-year BS program
