If you had $300-500 for an PC interface what would you buy?

I'll only be recording 1-2 tracks at a time.

Im just starting up myself and have been doing alot of research.
Im pretty positive that Im going to be going w/ the Presonus FireBox which you can get for around 300 bucks and comes w/ cubase le.

Im thinking of getting the Presonus FireBox recording bundle from Musicians friend:

Yep those Presonus units are good value. The firebox comes with 2 preamps, so just plug it in & you're all set

What works with Windows Media Center Edition? I bought an M-audio box to start out with and it is not compatible.

Why oh why didn't I buy the Mac Book Pro!
