Help on soundcard

Hello,

I'm looking for an 8-in/8-out soundcard, and I found information on Echo's Layla24. What other soundcards compare to this one?

If I use a sequencer like Emagic Logic Audio, can I record 8 tracks simultaneously?

For mixdown to CD, is it possible to use an external mixer? Of what kind?
