I know someone will know the answer to this.

I use Windows 98, 2nd edition on my PC. I can open all E-post files EXCEPT PPS files. This has something to do with powerpoint images.

My friends seem to be able to open these files. All I get when I try to open a PPS file is a window pop-up that says, "This is not a Windows 32 document...."

Thanks for input.

Yo Lopp:

You're just across Lake Michigan; but, man, you get colder air than we do in Grand Rapids.

Thanks a ton. I had the idea that my PC, w/Windows, is missing something.

I've yet to find out what the message means that states the file is not a Windows 32 document, or something like that.

I've tried updates with Microsoft but so far, still cannot read the files that are PPS.

Thanks a bunch.

Yo Wasp of Emeraldness,

Still not working? Damn. That's all I've got for ya.

My boss actually lives in Grand Rapids and drives to the Northern Chicago area to work long hours Tues-Thurs. Must be a good place to be to make it worth that trip every week. ;)

Good luck with your files.

Hey Matt:

I appreciate your help. After shooting around a few sites on the WEB that offered "FREE" advice, I've narrowed down the problem.

I do not run Microsoft Explorer [good name for a car]?:]

I have a gut feeling that the AOL system I use for posting and Netscape won't work with PPS files.

I'm sure some PC guru out there knows the answer. I've kept the PPS files and maybe I'll get a definitive answer soon. I've even got my kid brother, a Navy Captain, asking his PC crew WHAZZZUP?

Thanks Matt. Keep that good cheese coming out of Wisconsin.
