Hi all,

I just got cakewalk sonar 4 producer edition, and I tried recording a sample track. When I played it back, the audio quality was really poor ie. there was a bunch of noise/static. I don't have a mic yet, so I'm running the pick up on my acoustic guitar to an M-audio Omni pre-amp to a Delta-66 soundcard. I checked my levels to make sure I'm not getting any clipping or anything like that, so I have no idea what the problem is. Oh yeah, and the software was obtained through "questionable means" in case that has any bearing on my question. Any ideas? Thanks!

Brad

Nevermind: Question Answered

So apparently this question was already asked pretty much. Solution: make sure the input card matches the output card (in my case, delta 1/2 to delta 1/2) for a given audio track, then I just plug my headphones into the Omni pre-amp. Voila.
