i recorded all my instruments through one input on my audiophile so on my recording software (magix music maker 2004) only the left side produces sound..i just figured i could mixdown to stereo when i was finished..but when i mixdown all the sound stays only on one side...does anyone know how to fix this or should i just go back and re-record everything through the other input..there's got to be an easier way

I'm not altogether sure because I've never heard of or seen that software. It sounds like you're recording a mono signal into a stereo track. On your tracks, select your input, and make sure you're actually recording onto a mono track. If you're plugged into the Left input, and recording onto a stereo track, well, you're only gonna have sound on the left side. It sounds to me like if you can only hear out of one side, you're nowhere near being ready to do the final stereo mix, right?
Of course, without seeing what you've got, it could be something as simple as having one speaker not hooked up, one amp channel blown, a bad cable, incorrect settings in the AP mixer, or any other goofy thing.
