help needed for M-audio Audiophile

i do a lot of home recording but i'm having problems with my new equipment..i use magix music maker 2004 to record and i have an audiophile 2496 soundcard...i use the drum kit that comes with magix music maker but in order for me to hear it when i record my audiophile needs to be set on WaveOut 1/2 in the control panel under Patchbay/Router..but for me to hear my instruments when i record i need to be on monitor mixer in control panel under Patchbay/Router...so when i hear myself play i cannot hear the drums going....is there anyway to set it up so i can hear the drums while i'm recording...thanks

Leave the patchbay/router set to Monitor Mixer, and on the Monitor Mixer tab, the Wavout 1/2 sliders should control the volume of what you've already recorded. Make sure the mute boxes aren't checked.
The H/W In 1/2 sliders control the playback volume of what you're recording
