Hey guys and gals,

i have my own studio in my basement and its all analog, recently i have upgraded to digital equipment. i have the computer and the drum machine (Superior Drummer 2.0) but i dont have a sequencer program. I had Nuendo for a while but its very complicated for just programing drums. i would like to have superior drummer 2.0 for drums and electri6ity for guitars.

But what i need is a simple sequencer program to program it, people have said cubase and others have said garage band, i need somthing simple too because im not that good with complex computer programs.

I really need help with this because im stuck lol, anyway if you could help or give me advise then i would be most thankfull.

thanks, Nick

Due to the nature of things, imo a sequencer will always have a certain degree of not-simple-ness ...
Here´s one for free that looks as if it could be a good starting point - have not tried it myself though

Most sequencers these days have turned into full DAWs.

Sorry, but in one breath you want something simple, in the other you want to run complex vsts like Superior Drummer and Electi6ity.

All daws do basically the same thing. YOU need to narrow your OCD and ignore the features you dont need to use.

Try Reaper.

ok so let me rephrase my question, what would be the most practical for my needs?

Have a look at Ableton. You may even be able to download Ableton Lite for free to try out as a lot of magazines gave it away.
