Those rubberband thingies fell off when I was putting the mic back in. Its a easy fix IF I knew how to put it back together, but i dont, can someone help me with that?

Its kinda like that, except there isnt two hooks in the middle, its just 4 nobs lined along the inside of teh center bar.

I'm looking for a pic of the exact kind.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum.

Maybe if you listed the model of Mic it was for, or a pic of the parts you have, someone may have something similar and be able help.

Really, as long as you are isolating the center piece from the outer piece, it should be fine.

But eyeteeth is right, more info would let us help you better.

I really hate shock mounts! Mine fell apart/broke and is unusable for my gt55 and now I have to buy another one. The list price on their website is 50 bucks which is 1/4 of what I payed for the mic!!! YIKES!

Anyway good luck I dont think your going to have much help on here your better taking it to someone.

if the rubber bands just fell out, it can't be that difficult to put back together.

This has happened to me too much. People love to mess with them when i'm recording. Just try to redo it. The first time you might not get it right, use the wrong hooks, but it's pretty easy if you just try. I find the just kind of fall apart on their own as well. As long as it's holding the mic and it's not touching the outer part, no biggie.

The elastic cords on a good shock mount should be just slightly difficult to pull out or pull back in. If they come out easily, take a pair of pliers and squeeze the metal hooks together a bit... unless they're plastic clips, in which case... buy a better shock mount. :D

I took it to Guitar Center and they helped me. Thanks, I tried for a while to get it, but I was stumped.
